• Are you experiencing a crisis with your housing situation?

There are many community resources available to address crisis situations. Here are just some of those crisis resources.

If you or your family is in immediate danger, or you think you might hurt yourself or someone else, PLEASE CALL 9-1-1 immediately

• Suicide and Crisis Line, 800-448-3000: 24 hour short-term crisis intervention and counseling to callers on parent-child conflicts, abuse issues, marital and family issues, suicide, pregnancy runaway youth, etc. They provide local community referrals.
• Child Abuse & Neglect Hotline, 1-800-392-3738: 24 hour hotline that accepts confidential reports of suspected child abuse or neglect. The hotline also accepts non abuse/neglect calls from caregivers in crisis who need intervention services.
• Housing Resource Center, 314-802-5444: Call if you are experiencing homelessness to be connected to available shelters in STL area.
• Life Crisis, 314-647-HELP (4357) or 1-800-273-TALK (8255): 24 hour crisis intervention and suicide prevention hotline
• Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS) Toll Free Number, 1-800-392-1261: Call for information and eligibility for Food Stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Child Support, Medicaid and other state programs.
• Mental Health Crisis Intervention Service, 1-888-279-8188
• National Domestic Violence/Child Abuse/Sexual Abuse Hotline, 1-800-799-SAFE (7233): 24 hour crisis intervention hotline staffed by trained volunteers to provide information, support and referrals in their community.
• Parentlink, 1-800-552-8522: Provides information and answers to parenting questions.
• Poison Control, 1-800-222-1222
• St. Louis Crisis Nursery, 314-768-3201: Provides emergency intervention, respite care and support to families in crisis to help prevent child abuse and neglect.
