Adoption Resources

Need information about making an adoption plan?

There are many choices to make when you discover you are pregnant. There are also many options, including adoption. You may not even know about adoption, but there are many resources and agencies out there that can provide education and information about this option. Some agencies provide case management, education and support for pregnant women and teens who seek help in making a plan (parenting or adoption) for their baby. An agency working in yours and your baby’s best interest will never pressure you into any one decision, and should support you in any plan you decide to make. Adoption can be a very difficult decision to make, even when it is the best option for you and your baby, so making sure that you have support is important. Making an adoption plan for your baby takes a lot of love, courage and selflessness.

Get Real with Yourself provides pregnancy education, including education about adoption. Get Real provides case management and support to help you make a plan for your baby, whether you want to parent, or make an adoption plan. You can call or email a professional at Get Real to get some answers and talk to someone about your situation, 1-877-747-REAL or GetReal@lfcs.org.
